Our Design Centre offers the newest design programs and computer-controlled manufacturing tools. Additionally, you can participate in our renowned Professional Training placements, providing valuable industry experience with major employers like GE Healthcare, DePuy Synthes, 3M, Abbott, Renishaw, and the NHS. Both our BEng and MEng degrees hold accreditation from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

With an emphasis on medical applications, our biomedical engineering curriculum covers diverse subjects including biomechanics, medical sensors, prosthetic development, biological signal analysis, and implant design. Students can enroll in either the BEng or MEng track, with the MEng program extending the BEng through an additional master's year for direct postgraduate qualification. A-level Overall: BEng (Hons): ABB. Required subjects: Mathematics and physics. Alternatively, two other science subjects can be accepted in place of physics. Suitable science subjects include further maths; biology; chemistry; environmental science; geology; geography; computing; computer science; design and technology; economics; statistics; product design; psychology and electronics.
