The Inequality and Social Justice pathway focuses on criminological matters connected to societal disparities, including gender, sexual orientation, race, and ethnic background. This program highlights social justice concerns like oppression, unfair treatment, and prejudice—problems frequently overlooked by traditional criminal justice frameworks. Students will cultivate an in-depth understanding and analytical perspective on the connections between authority, inequality, and societal transformation, particularly examining globalization's effects. The curriculum explores worldwide and regional challenges involving diversity, bias, and fundamental freedoms, alongside examining ideologies and real-world instances of abuse, intolerance, and targeting concerning matters such as anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment and the sex trade.
