You can pursue either a PhD or MPhil in Law. A PhD in Law typically involves three years of full-time study, whereas an MPhil requires one year of full-time commitment. The Strathclyde Law School accommodates part-time PhD and MPhil candidates as well. Part-time research programs offer an excellent way to explore topics connected to your professional field. They also allow you to earn a PhD or MPhil while maintaining your current job. Human rights principles now influence numerous legal and policy domains, both domestically and globally. The growing significance of human rights law is evident in our diverse research focus areas, which encompass: socio-economic rights within immigration and asylum frameworks, multinational corporations, child welfare and protection concerning the right to private and family life, and the human rights implications of climate change.
