During your initial year, you'll be required to complete several courses within our Business & Management (MBM) program. Students with prior postgraduate education in business or social science research methods must obtain a Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert) in Business & Management before advancing to the PhD program. Those without such background will need to complete a Masters of Research (MRes) in Business & Management first. These courses deliver research training aligned with the Economic & Social Research Council's (ESRC) standards. Additionally, you'll engage in an Entrepreneurship Research course as a component of your methodological training, exposing you to diverse aspects of entrepreneurial studies. Qualification Requirements

We normally require a first-class or upper second-class UK Honours degree, or overseas equivalent, in a relevant business or social science related subject. For PhD applications, we also normally expect a Masters degree, or overseas equivalent, although there are often exceptions. We accept a number of English language tests. 

IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5)

TOEFL (ibt): 80 overall, with the following minimum scores in each component: Listening: 17 Reading: 18 Speaking: 20 Writing: 18.
