The department houses the renowned Fraser of Allander Institute, a premier independent research center focused on Scotland's economy, providing PhD candidates with valuable connections to policy and business sectors. Our dynamic economics PhD program welcomes new students annually. You'll receive guidance from two expert supervisors in your field and become part of our active research community, participating in external speaker seminars, early-stage research workshops, and our yearly Postgraduate Research Conference where you'll showcase your work.
