In addition to our renowned MLitt in Creative Writing and research-focused MRes in Creative Writing at the Masters level, we provide PhD opportunities in Creative Writing for those looking to develop an extended creative project. The PhD in Creative Writing can be completed full-time in three years or part-time over six years. You'll work closely with an accomplished, published author to produce an original creative work - choosing between Andrew Meehan (author of One Star Awake and The Mystery of Love), Dr. Rodge Glass (noted novelist, biographer of Alasdair Gray, and short story writer), or Sarah Bernstein (acclaimed poet and novelist behind The Coming Bad Days and Now Comes the Lightning). Specializations include: Poetry, Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction, and Experimental Hybrid Writing
