Swansea's Creative Writing research program provides a diverse range of skills and fosters cross-genre research discussions encompassing poetry, fiction, drama, and screenwriting. We form a tight-knit community of writers, with each research student guided by an experienced writer-teacher. Individual supervision sessions occur every four weeks or upon student request. Additionally, all research students gather monthly for Creative Writing Methodology Workshops with faculty. The Swansea Writing Program serves as an apprenticeship for emerging writers, offering dedicated time to master a craft that, while often enigmatic, follows principles that must be fully grasped before they can be innovatively challenged. Swansea takes particular pride in its program's academic rigor and vibrant research environment. Our faculty comprises acclaimed, seasoned writer-educators, and we carefully pair students with supervisors to cultivate meaningful, lasting creative partnerships.
