The MSc Economics & Finance program cultivates expert professionals capable of analyzing, interpreting, and addressing intricate economic and financial challenges in our globalized society. Offered collaboratively by the Economics and Accounting & Finance Departments, this program explores the vital intersection between economics and finance - a crucial perspective for today's world. The curriculum prepares graduates for roles as economists, analysts, or consultants across both public and private sectors, with particular focus on translating classroom knowledge into practical applications. Our Professional Development for Economists course features a practitioner seminar series where students gain insights from top business leaders, consultants, and government officials about current economic challenges and career trajectories. Notably, many guest speakers are program alumni.

The curriculum focuses on core courses that build expertise across economics, finance, analytical techniques, and quantitative methods. Students can tailor their learning through diverse elective options aligned with their professional aspirations.Summer Research Component:
The program culminates with a summer research project, offering two pathways: an in-depth applied research project supervised by Economics faculty, or dual finance-focused empirical projects. Both options allow students to implement skills acquired throughout the program.

Graduates are exceptionally prepared for roles requiring economic and financial expertise. Alumni have secured positions such as Analyst, Risk Reporting Specialist, Credit Officer, Tax Associate, Partner, and Consultant across various sectors.
