Who is this program designed for? You might currently be employed in charity finance as a manager or consultant, or perhaps you're looking to transition into this challenging sector role. Regardless of your starting point, this academically demanding program is tailored to meet your requirements. It will also prepare you for positions as an advisor, auditor, or independent examiner for charitable organizations. You'll develop a comprehensive grasp of the role while acquiring the knowledge and abilities to enhance and utilize your financial expertise within the sector. Accreditation Upon completing this program, students qualify for the professional DChA (Diploma in Charity Accounting) certification from the ICAEW. Program Structure The MSc program follows a part-time schedule spanning two years (or 20 months for those qualifying for the April intake). Students first register for the Postgraduate Diploma with their chosen specialization, then declare their intention to complete the MSc by the end of the first year. Career Prospects Participants are chosen based on their professional background and typically maintain full-time employment while completing the course. Previous students have represented diverse organizations, including those from business and public sector backgrounds.
In general we ask for a good first degree, normally an upper second-class honours degree from a British University or a relevant professional qualification: e.g: ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW; ICAS and three or more year’s relevant experience at a senior level. In exceptional cases we will also accept those without a degree but with significant work experience. Provided you have more than three years relevant experience, two professional references are acceptable.
The minimum required academic IELTS level is an average of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in writing and no less than 6.0 in any other section. We require a well-balanced overall score of at least 100 and no less than 25 in the Writing section in the TOEFL iBT test or the TOEFL iBT Home Edition test.
