In addition to our well-known MLitt in Creative Writing and research-focused MRes in Creative Writing at the Masters level, we provide PhD opportunities in Creative Writing for those looking to develop an extended creative project. The Creative Writing PhD can be completed full-time in three years or part-time across six years. Students will work closely with an established, published author to produce an original creative work – choosing between Andrew Meehan (author of One Star Awake and The Mystery of Love), Dr. Rodge Glass (novelist, short story writer, and biographer of Alasdair Gray), or Sarah Bernstein (poet and novelist behind The Coming Bad Days and Now Comes the Lightning). Specializations include Poetry, Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction, and Hybrid Writing.
