This course explores both the art of writing and the inner workings of the publishing world. You'll build a collection of creative works while analyzing current industry trends.
The creative writing component features workshop-based learning, allowing you to focus on your preferred genre. The publishing studies emphasize commercial trade publishing, industry frameworks, and essential professional skills.
For your final project, you can opt for a creative writing thesis, a publishing research paper, or a hands-on publishing initiative.

Qualification Requirements
We normally expect applicants to have:
a 2:2 or above honours degree in a related subject, and/or
a demonstrative interest in creative writing.
You must also submit a 3,000-word sample of creative writing, a personal statement (1,000 words).
All non-UK applicants must meet our English language requirements. For this course it is Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall with 7.0 in Writing and 5.5 in all other elements.
