Qualification Requirements

A second-class honours  degree, or international equivalent. Degree must include: 40 SCQF credits from either politics or sociology. A further 40 SCQF credits from the subjects listed: Economics, Criminology, Geography, History or Economic History, International relations, Law (please note that the LLB/LLB Hons Law is not acceptable as it does not contain the appropriate range of subjects), Politics (only where not used as first 40 SCQF credits) or Sociology (only where not used as first 40 SCQF credits), Social policy For postgraduate studies, the University of Strathclyde requires a minimum overall score of IELTS 6.5 (no individual test score below 5.5) or equivalent. TOEFL (ibt): 80 overall, with the following minimum scores in each component: Listening: 17 Reading: 18 Speaking: 20 Writing: 18.
