Why choose this course
We provide top-tier education in Human Resource Management (HRM), recognized among Scotland's and the UK's finest programs. HRM focuses on employer-employee relationships and workplace people management, encompassing key areas like hiring processes, staff training, professional development, and workplace conflict resolution. These skills form a crucial component of organizational leadership across all sectors.
Curriculum overview
During your first year, you'll explore various business fields through four subject modules, complemented by three foundational courses in international business, business competencies (through the Management Development Programme), and academic skills. This establishes a strong business foundation while helping you understand how your specialization connects with other disciplines. Starting in Year 2, you'll concentrate on modules within your chosen specialization area.
The Management Development Programme (MDP) serves as a cornerstone of Strathclyde Business School's undergraduate curriculum. Spanning the first three years of the BA degree, this program tackles real-world business challenges through active, problem-based learning where students collaborate in project teams. MDP allows you to synthesize knowledge from your business courses, with each year concentrating on different business aspects. The program content continuously evolves to stay current with industry trends.
Complementing MDP, the Academic Skills module develops essential competencies to support your academic journey.

Your acquired people-management expertise and specialized knowledge will significantly expand your professional possibilities.
