We focus on equipping you with practical skills to advance your career, such as analyzing and interpreting texts. You'll explore poetry, novels, and various forms of drama (theater, film, and radio) typical of an English and Creative Writing degree, while also having the unique chance at Strathclyde to incorporate creative writing techniques into your literary analysis. You'll collaborate with acclaimed academics and published authors. In psychology, we concentrate on understanding human behavior. You'll examine behavioral patterns, learning processes, memory, motor coordination, and social interactions, along with exploring individual differences in personality and intelligence. Entry to Years 2 and 3 is competitive, with limited spaces available due to course popularity and Honors year requirements. Our Humanities & Social Sciences BA programs begin with a broad foundation, allowing you to study three subjects in Year 1, including your chosen discipline(s).
