The MLitt in Theology, Imagination and the Arts offers students a conceptually rich and historically grounded foundation in theology and the arts, serving either as a complete Master's program or preparation for PhD studies. This one-year taught course, administered by the Institute for Theology, Imagination and the Arts (ITIA) within the School of Divinity, provides comprehensive training in theology and artistic practice. The program equally benefits artists seeking theological perspectives on their craft and theologians examining art's role in religious thought. It serves as excellent preparation for the Institute's PhD program, which focuses on extended independent research. The curriculum explores various cultural expressions across history, including literature, theater, visual arts, and music.
Full-time duration: one year.
