The MLitt in Book History provides an interdisciplinary exploration of the book's evolution, spanning from 15th-century printed works to 19th-century mechanized presses. Participants gain specialized skills for rare book curation through hands-on training with Special Collections. This program delivers comprehensive knowledge of book history methodologies while tracing printing's origins, advancements, dissemination, and evolution. Students may enhance their studies with palaeography training and Latin or modern language instruction. The MLitt structure features two semesters of coursework culminating in a summer dissertation (15,000 words) on a student-selected topic. Flexible course components cater to diverse goals: PhD preparation, career advancement, or personal academic pursuits.
