This program offers an in-depth exploration of Spanish and Theological Studies through research-focused coursework, enabling students to grasp how knowledge evolves, progresses, and is revitalized. It fosters independent learning among all participants, cultivating qualities like curiosity, integrity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 48 months, the curriculum culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits—typically 120 per academic year. The initial two years combine mandatory program-specific courses with elective options (sometimes including interdisciplinary Faculty offerings). The final years emphasize advanced, research-driven study through specialized modules. The first two years blend core program requirements with diverse electives (potentially from other Faculties), while the latter stages focus on tailored, research-intensive coursework.
