This program offers an in-depth exploration of Russian alongside Geography at an advanced, research-focused level, enabling students to comprehend how knowledge is developed, expanded, and refreshed. It fosters independent learning among all participants, promoting curiosity, integrity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 48 months, the curriculum culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits over four years, typically earning 120 credits annually. The initial two years feature core program-specific modules alongside elective options (sometimes including interdisciplinary Faculty offerings). The final years emphasize advanced, research-driven education through specialized program modules. The first two years combine mandatory courses with a selection of electives (potentially from other Faculties), while the latter years focus on tailored, research-oriented coursework.
