This program offers an in-depth exploration of Geography and Italian through research-focused study, enabling students to comprehend how knowledge evolves, progresses, and is revitalized. It fosters independent learning among all participants, promoting curiosity, precision, academic integrity, and rigorous thinking. Spanning 48 months, the course culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits—typically 120 per academic year. The initial two years feature compulsory program-specific modules alongside elective options (sometimes including interdisciplinary Faculty selections). The final years emphasize advanced, research-driven education through specialized coursework. The first two years combine core program modules with optional choices (potentially from other Faculties), while subsequent years focus on tailored, research-oriented learning.
