This program offers an in-depth exploration of Persian and Philosophy through research-focused study, enabling students to comprehend how knowledge evolves, progresses, and is revitalized. It fosters independent learning among all participants, emphasizing curiosity, integrity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 48 months, the curriculum culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits—typically 120 per academic year. The initial two years feature compulsory program-specific modules alongside elective options (sometimes including interdisciplinary courses). Subsequent years focus on advanced, research-driven education through specialized modules. The first two years combine mandatory program courses with a selection of electives (potentially from other faculties), while the later years deliver tailored, research-oriented instruction.
