This comprehensive course allows you to expand upon your knowledge while exploring fresh opportunities. You'll develop essential analytical abilities to engage with literature in innovative ways, while discovering how Wales' cultural heritage connects with globally significant concepts that have evolved through the ages. Explore Europe's vibrant literary legacy through diverse works - from ancient heroic verses and Mabinogion legends to Dafydd ap Gwilym's masterful poetry, progressing to contemporary experimental pieces spanning spiritual, transient, feminist, scientific, and transatlantic Welsh writing. Examine how global Welsh-language authors have confronted their eras with provocative, thought-provoking, and aesthetically remarkable creations. Study these alongside examinations of analytical and continental philosophy, plus Eastern and Western religious traditions. Optional Placement Year and International Experience Year Offered
