This program offers an in-depth exploration of Hebrew and Middle East Studies through research-focused learning, where students will discover how knowledge evolves, progresses, and transforms. It fosters independent scholarship, emphasizing curiosity, precision, academic integrity, and rigorous analysis. Spanning 48 months, the course culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits—typically 120 per academic year. The initial two years combine mandatory program-specific courses with elective options, sometimes including interdisciplinary Faculty selections. The final years focus on specialized, research-driven modules tailored to the program's academic objectives. The first two years blend core subjects with diverse electives, potentially spanning multiple Faculties, while the latter years emphasize advanced, discipline-specific research learning.
