The four-year joint Honours program's Hebrew component is offered by the School of Divinity. Engaging with Hebrew helps students align with a unique cultural mindset while unlocking access to biblical texts and the diverse writings within the Hebrew Bible. This curriculum focuses on advanced, research-driven exploration of Biblical Studies and Hebrew, enabling students to comprehend how knowledge evolves and transforms. The program fosters independent learning, emphasizing curiosity, precision, and scholarly discipline. Spanning 48 months, it culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it comprises credit-based modules, requiring 480 credits total—typically 120 per academic year. The initial two years blend core program modules with elective options (sometimes including cross-Faculty courses), while later years emphasize specialized, research-oriented study tailored to the program's focus.
