This program offers an in-depth exploration of Art History and Psychology through research-focused study, enabling students to comprehend how knowledge evolves, progresses, and transforms. It fosters independent learning among all participants, promoting curiosity, precision, academic integrity, and rigorous scholarship. Spanning 48 months, the course culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits—typically 120 per academic year. The initial two years feature mandatory program-specific courses alongside elective options, which may include interdisciplinary Faculty selections. Subsequent years focus on specialized, research-driven coursework tailored to the program. The first two years combine core program modules with diverse electives (sometimes from other Faculties), while later years emphasize advanced, program-aligned research studies.
