This program offers advanced study of Arabic and Italian, including an Integrated Year Abroad, with a research-focused approach where students learn how knowledge is developed and advanced. It fosters independent learning among students, promoting curiosity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 60 months, it leads to a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring 540 credits total—typically 120 per academic year. The first two years feature core program modules alongside optional courses (sometimes from other Faculties), while later years focus on specialized, research-driven coursework.
