The first explores medieval and Renaissance art across Europe and other regions, emphasizing the social, political, and religious contexts of artistic production while considering global influences. The second component investigates 17th and 18th century art and architecture, predominantly European but not exclusively, examining technological innovations, expanding viewership, and colonial impacts.
