The MA (Hons) in Biblical Studies offers students a chance to examine the significant impact of Christian and Jewish Scriptures on Western culture. This program concentrates on both the Old and New Testaments while also introducing various other religious texts from these eras, including the Dead Sea Scrolls. Spanning four years and administered by the School of Divinity, this degree equips students with tools to understand biblical literature—exploring historical contexts, content, interpretive methods, and modern applications. During the initial two years, mandatory courses cover foundational Old and New Testament studies. The Old Testament curriculum delves into Israel's history, beliefs, and traditions through diverse texts such as prophetic writings, psalms, wisdom literature, and apocalyptic works.
