In this combined honors program, you'll explore these core ideas and more through two interconnected perspectives, deepening your insight into both fields. This Bachelor of Arts program provides a comprehensive foundation in literary studies, theoretical frameworks, and analytical skills. Throughout your studies, you'll have opportunities to: investigate philosophical inquiries including morality, logic, and accountability; examine literary and philosophical works across various historical periods and global contexts, spanning from Norse to Victorian times and from Asian to African traditions; delve into topics such as medieval Islamic scholarship, ancient Indian thought, and writings about the Holocaust; participate in international study at affiliated universities; analyze complex narratives, including discussions of ethnicity and identity in U.S. literary works.
