The MSc in Advanced Applied Field Geoscience offers the UK's most fieldwork-intensive master's program. This professional degree equips students with the expertise, practical abilities, and self-assurance needed for diverse geoscience careers, spanning engineering geology, mining, quarry operations, petroleum geoscience, and academic research. Instead of specializing in one particular field, we deliver comprehensive training across multiple geoscience disciplines, covering digital data collection and visualization, analytical techniques, and practical field geology applications. Thanks to Petroleum Experts Ltd (Petex), we've received 10 licenses for the MOVE software suite (valued at £1,341,961.89 commercially) to enhance our educational resources. Holders of this Advanced Applied Field Geoscience degree will be prepared for employment opportunities throughout the earth sciences sector, including site evaluation, contaminated land analysis, geotechnical engineering, mineral extraction, hydrocarbon exploration, and scientific research.
