The foundation program is tailored for students who don't meet the entry requirements for the Natural History undergraduate degree. Beginning with a preparatory year, you'll receive structured guidance to enhance your scientific understanding and capabilities. After successfully finishing this initial phase, you'll advance to the first year of the BSc (Hons) Natural History program. The curriculum covers fundamental concepts in natural history, biological classification, ecosystems, and life sciences, along with training in scientific methodology and data interpretation. This program emphasizes hands-on fieldwork, offering valuable experience across diverse settings. Current field study locations include Pembrokeshire, Iceland, with an optional research trip to Botswana. By examining various ecosystems, you'll develop expertise in observing wildlife behavior and ecological relationships. The program also incorporates training in digital imaging and videography, equipping you to document and share the natural phenomena you'll encounter.
Upon completing your studies, you'll possess the qualifications for positions with conservation areas, environmental organizations, governmental agencies, and research institutions.
