The Foundation Year in Youth and Community Work is the first step in a four-year degree program, tailored for students who don't yet qualify for direct admission into degree programs like BA (Hons) Youth and Community Work or BA (Hons) Youth and Community Work (Youth Justice). This preparatory course introduces key topics such as youth work, psychology, and social policy while equipping you with essential skills and confidence to advance toward a full degree. With classes scheduled just three days weekly, the program accommodates students balancing education with work and family responsibilities.

GCSEs: The University normally requires a minimum 3 GCSEs including Mathematics and English at Grade C/Grade 4 or above, or their equivalent but consideration is given to individual circumstances.


IELTS - 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component. TOEFL - 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing (including Home Edition).
