This program offers a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in electrical engineering. Graduates will gain deep insights into electrical and electromechanical systems, along with analytical and design techniques for power circuits, digital electronics, and drive systems.

A versatile curriculum equips students with specialized knowledge in emerging electrical engineering fields while strengthening fundamental engineering concepts. Key subjects cover power networks, electronic power conversion, electromechanical devices, and precision motion control.

First-year participants engage in the faculty's Global Engineering Challenge, collaborating across disciplines to address practical engineering issues. Second-year students undertake intensive projects developed by industry leaders. The Sheffield Industrial Project Scheme further provides valuable opportunities to gain professional experience with engineering firms.

BTEC Extended Diploma DD in Engineering or Applied Science (Plus) A in A Level Maths

Scottish Highers (Plus) 2 Advanced Highers AAABB (Plus) AB in Maths and either Physics, Chemistry or Electronics

Welsh Baccalaureate (Plus) 2 A Levels B (Plus) AA in Maths and either Physics, Chemistry or Electronics

Access to HE Diploma 60 credits overall in a relevant subject, with 45 credits at Level 3, including 36 credits at Distinction (to include Maths and Physics), and 9 credits at Merit. A Maths test may also be required
