This theme explores diverse aspects of information science, encompassing evidence identification for knowledge synthesis, information retrieval techniques, literacy education, and academic publishing.
Our goal is to deliver outstanding information retrieval capabilities to research initiatives, innovation projects, and knowledge transfer activities within ScHARR, as well as to external partners such as government agencies, businesses, and nonprofits. Through these capabilities and our extensive experience in creating impactful educational programs, we strive to prepare ScHARR students with the necessary competencies for evidence searching and review. We're also committed to sharing our specialized knowledge with peers, including utilizing academic publishing to effectively circulate research findings.
The Information Science research group unites scholars, investigators, and information professionals conducting studies in knowledge synthesis, data retrieval, and information organization. Comprised of ScHARR staff with information science backgrounds, our team specializes in systematic information retrieval, knowledge organization, and research dissemination. We're dedicated to pioneering new approaches in both information science research and education.
