During this program, you'll dedicate one year to studying mathematics in Spanish at one of our partner universities in Spain. While in Sheffield, two-thirds of your time will focus on mathematics, with the remaining portion dedicated to enhancing your Spanish language skills. You'll explore the same core subjects as other mathematics students and undertake a significant research project in your final year.
Your first year includes a carefully selected set of mathematics modules covering fundamental concepts essential for your degree. Spanish classes will involve weekly sessions with native speakers, helping you improve your language proficiency while completing a Spanish-language project and presentation.
The second year continues strengthening your Spanish while expanding your mathematical toolkit for tackling more advanced problems. Certain optional modules incorporate project work, allowing you to apply mathematical skills to real-world situations similar to those you may encounter professionally. Time is also allocated to prepare for your third-year study abroad experience.
