During this program, you'll dedicate one year of your studies at a partner university in France, learning mathematics entirely in French. While in Sheffield, two-thirds of your time will focus on mathematical studies, with the remaining portion dedicated to enhancing your French language skills. You'll explore the same core subjects as other mathematics students and undertake a significant research project in your final year.

The first year features a carefully selected set of mathematics modules that establish the fundamental knowledge needed for subsequent years. Your French studies will involve weekly sessions with native speakers, culminating in a French-language project and presentation.

In your second year, you'll further refine your French proficiency while expanding your mathematical toolkit to tackle more advanced challenges. Certain optional modules incorporate practical projects, allowing you to apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations similar to those you may encounter in your future career. The program also allocates specific preparation time for your third-year study abroad experience.
