This program covers evolution, genetics, and animal behavior, extending to biodiversity challenges and climate change. You'll explore microorganisms, invertebrates, birds, fish, mammals, and humans while applying your skills in laboratory and field settings.
Zoology examines animals across all scales. Our research ranges from anatomy and physiology to behavioral patterns and evolutionary processes, alongside investigating biodiversity effects, conservation efforts, and wildlife trade.
Our zoology programs encompass microorganisms, invertebrates, birds, fish, mammals, and humans, with opportunities to specialize in tropical, urban, terrestrial, marine, and freshwater environments.
You'll understand animal evolution, species diversity, physiological mechanisms, behavioral patterns, and responses to global changes. You'll examine disease transmission pathways and biodiversity preservation challenges. This knowledge will equip you to tackle critical issues like international wildlife trade, biodiversity conservation, disease epidemics, and sustaining ecosystems that provide humans with freshwater, food, and recreational spaces.
