Pursue one, two, or three languages through our three-year BA Modern Languages program. This accelerated version mirrors our four-year BA Modern Languages degree but omits the overseas year, designed for students facing circumstances that prevent international study. You'll complete an eight-week immersion in a language-intensive setting to enhance your linguistic abilities and cultural awareness of your chosen language(s). This placement can be completed as a single eight-week period or divided into segments throughout your studies.

According to the 2019-20 Graduate Outcomes Survey, 88% of Languages and Cultures graduates secured employment or continued education within 15 months of completing their degree.

Our alumni have launched successful careers in translation, education, finance, creative industries, and marketing.

Notable employers of recent graduates include Sony Europe, government agencies, Oxford University Press, BNP Paribas, Dow Jones, Vodafone, and PwC.
