Our adaptable degree program allows you to focus on one, two, or three contemporary European languages. Students concentrating on one or two languages may also have the opportunity to learn Arabic, Catalan, Czech, Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin as supplementary non-degree options.
The initial year introduces you to the cultural heritage and historical background of your chosen language(s). In later years, you can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistics, cinema and visual arts, history, political science, and gender studies.
Your third year will be spent overseas, with the flexibility to divide your time between different countries based on your language combinations.
