Diagnostic radiographers play a crucial role in healthcare teams - they operate advanced imaging technology to capture internal body scans, which they analyze to detect and assess medical conditions. This BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography and Medical Imaging program equips you for a rewarding profession in disease detection and life-saving care. Master safe patient examination techniques using various imaging modalities including X-ray, CT scans, fluoroscopy, MRI, and ultrasound.
Develop your expertise through supervised practice in our state-of-the-art Centre for Simulation in Health and Care, featuring a fully equipped digital X-ray facility. Gain hands-on experience with at least 14 weeks of annual clinical placements, working alongside skilled radiographers in actual hospital settings and NHS Trusts. Upon graduation, you'll qualify for registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), launching your career as a Diagnostic Radiographer or providing a foundation for advanced practice, research, education, or healthcare leadership roles.

A levels - BBB-BBC
UCAS points - 112-120 points from 3 A levels, or equivalent, including a minimum of 32 points from a Science subject (preferably Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics). A levels in Applied Science, PE, Psychology and Sports Science are considered. BTEC Extended Diploma in a Science based subject and Science based Access to Higher Education awards are also welcomed (calculate your UCAS points)
T-levels - Merit. Acceptable T Level Subjects:
T Level in Healthcare Science, T Level in Science (Acceptable Occupational Specialisms: Laboratory sciences, Metrology sciences)
