Dental hygienists and dental therapists both assist patients in achieving optimal oral health through treatments, procedures, and guidance on diet and hygiene practices.

While dental therapists share the same responsibilities as hygienists, they additionally perform certain restorative procedures typically done by dentists, including fillings and tooth extractions.

This combined BSc (Hons) Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy program, approved by the General Dental Council (GDC), equips you with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training necessary to qualify as both a dental hygienist and therapist under GDC registration.
