The Cobot Maker Space is an interdisciplinary university facility, established through a collaboration between the Smart Products Beacon initiative, strategic EPSRC funding, and partnerships with the Horizon DE Research Institute and the TAS Hub.
This dynamic, versatile space facilitates human-robot interaction studies and accommodates three primary functions:
Innovation - allowing researchers to investigate human-robot teamwork across diverse fields, from assistive devices to industrial applications and artistic performances.
Study - supporting investigations into enhanced physical interaction methods between people and collaborative robots (co-bots).
Implementation - serving as a public venue for installing and observing cobots, including scenarios where they engage with community members.
