The program fosters an active research community delving into various aspects of information science, digital culture, and digital humanities. The rapid pace of technological advancement, coupled with the exponential growth of complex digital data, presents substantial challenges for how we manage and preserve information both individually and collectively. Core principles including identity, memory, authenticity, trust, transparency, accountability, representation, engagement, preservation, and accessibility form crucial elements of contemporary information studies. These issues necessitate novel theoretical frameworks, enhanced comprehension of information's essence, and creative solutions that bridge theory and application, connect people with knowledge, and harmonize technology with human values.
