Through hands-on lab projects, both individual and team-based, you'll apply your mathematical, analytical, and technical abilities to solve real-world challenges.Your third year involves an industry placement. You may select from approved opportunities or arrange your own with a suitable employer. While on placement, you maintain full student status with ongoing support from university tutors.All first-year students in our department follow the same foundational curriculum, with flexibility to switch specializations until the second year's third semester. Options to include or remove study abroad and industry placement years remain available after enrollment. By year three, you can focus on subjects aligning with your professional goals.MEng applicants receive dual offers - if you don't meet the MEng requirements but qualify for the BEng program, you'll automatically gain admission to the BEng alternative.Career opportunitiesGraduates develop versatile skills opening doors to exciting roles in software engineering, telecommunications (including fiber optics and mobile networks), aerospace, automotive systems, and sustainable energy solutions.
