The MA in Translation Studies caters to both working translators and interpreters seeking formal certification, as well as language graduates aspiring to enter the translation field or pursue advanced research.

This program blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, utilizing our cutting-edge translation and interpreting resources. The curriculum consists of instructional modules paired with a practical component. Participants have the option to strengthen an existing language skill or begin learning a new language. The Applied Translation Project can involve real-world experience through internships with nonprofit organizations or government agencies.

Qualification Requirements

2:1 (or international equivalent) in an arts, humanities or social science subject.
Native speakers of English: you should hold an honours degree in the foreign language you wish to study at MA level, at 2:1 or above or an international equivalent.
Non-native speakers of English: if English is the intended target language, near-native proficiency is required.
Dual non-native speakers: should demonstrate near-native proficiency in one language and be very proficient in the other.

IELTS - 7.0 (no less than 6.5 in each element), TOEFL (iBT) - 100 (with a minimum of 20 in speaking and 19 in all other elements)
