The human body is remarkably complex, but injuries or illnesses can disrupt its normal functioning. Our newly accredited Physiotherapy BSc program prepares you for a rewarding career through clinical placements, case studies, and simulated practice. You'll develop the expertise, practical skills, and professional confidence needed to qualify as a physiotherapist. We excel in physiotherapy education, ensuring you meet the highest professional standards. Using realistic patient scenarios, you'll examine different body systems while solving simulated clinical problems. This teaching method mirrors actual healthcare practice, allowing you to simultaneously build anatomical knowledge and patient care experience. Our year-long modules provide comprehensive coverage of human physiology. Beyond classroom learning, you'll undertake six five-week supervised placements across diverse clinical environments. These extended placements in areas like cardio-respiratory care, neurology, musculoskeletal therapy, and community settings allow for deep skill development. You'll also have opportunities in research and leadership roles, building both competence and confidence for your future career. Career Preparation Upon graduation, you'll possess strong foundational knowledge in physiotherapy principles and substantial clinical experience applying theory to practice. The program develops your research capabilities while emphasizing personal growth. Most UK physiotherapists work within the NHS across specialties including: burns and plastic surgery geriatric care maternity services mental health neurological rehabilitation orthopedics pediatric care respiratory therapy pelvic health Additional career paths exist in research institutions, educational settings, sports medicine, military healthcare, social services, veterinary physiotherapy, and charitable organizations.

Required subjects
A levels must include biology or physical education, or an acceptable biological science (for example human biology).
A pass is required in science practical tests, where these are assessed separately. However, we will make allowances where covid has been the reason for practical test results being unavailable. General studies is not accepted.
Plus a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 9-5 (A*-B), taken in one sitting, which include maths, English language and either biology or integrated/combined sciences.
Please note: you must have achieved the GCSEs at the point of application and not at the point of entry.
