Qualification Requirements

A level: ABB

Required subjects

ABB including one of biology, chemistry, physics, geography, geology, maths, further maths, environmental science, environmental technology or psychology.

GCSE mathematics and English at grade 4 (C) or above are required.

Excluded subjects

Citizenship studies, critical thinking, science and society, general studies and leisure studies not accepted.

IB score: 30 points overall or 655 in 3 HL certificates

IB requirements: 5HL in 1 of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Geography, Psychology, Environmental Systems and Societies.

RQF BTEC Nationals

 

Applications are assessed on an individual basis to ensure sufficient science has been studied. We will consider the following: 

 

RQF Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma DDD 

RQF Level 3 BTEC National Diploma DD plus one A level at grade B

RQF Level 3 BTEC National Extended Certificate D plus two A levels grades BB

The required A levels for mixed BTEC and A level grade profiles depends on the science content studied in the BTEC.

 

Access to HE Diploma

 

Applications are assessed on an individual basis. Where an offer is made, our standard requirements are:

 

Access to HE Diploma 24 graded Level 3 credits at Distinction plus 21 graded Level 3 credits at Merit, including 15 credits from acceptable science units.

 

IELTS: 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element). TOEFL (iBT): 80 (with a minimum of 17 in writing and listening, 18 in reading and 20 in speaking).
