Our PhD/MPhil Public Health Research program allows you to pursue a research project offering comprehensive training across all three core areas of public health and preventive medicine: health protection, health improvement (including health information), and health/wellbeing services. Our doctoral programs may incorporate various research methodologies, such as evidence synthesis, routine data analysis, population studies, and qualitative research. All postgraduate research students participate in the Doctoral Academy Training Program conducted by the Centre for Academic and Researcher Development (CARD), which develops essential transferable skills including commercial awareness, academic writing, and public engagement. This training prepares our graduates to advance beyond their research degrees into leadership roles across academia, industry, and consulting.
