Our PhD/MPhil program in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences allows you to pursue a research project that advances knowledge in these fields. Key research areas include: creating innovative nucleic acid-based diagnostic tools and treatments, pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation, studying drug interactions and pharmacodynamics in both healthy virtual groups and patient populations, examining variations in drug metabolism enzyme activity among individuals, designing optimal early-stage clinical trials for new treatments and drug combinations, employing systems biology to forecast drug absorption, distribution, and elimination processes, translating in vitro findings to predict in vivo pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and applying PKPD principles in drug development and treatment, with special focus on endocrinology, substance abuse, and pediatric pharmacology.

Qualification Requirements

We require applicants to hold, or be about to obtain, an Upper Second class Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in a related subject area for entry to a PhD programme. A Lower Second class Honours degree may be considered if applicants also hold a Master's degree with a Merit classification. We require a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall or TOEFL (iBT) 90.
