This program covers numerous aspects of atmospheric science, examining various physical, chemical, and electrical phenomena. Ongoing research initiatives focus on: radiative transfer, rainfall and cloud charging, boundary layer dynamics, aerosol characteristics, cloud physics and chemistry, as well as urban air pollution. Investigations in these fields incorporate field measurements, laboratory experiments, theoretical analyses, and computational modeling.

Field studies and data analysis constitute the primary focus of this research group. Recent fieldwork has taken place throughout the UK—such as in Norfolk, Essex, Edinburgh, Birmingham, and Manchester—as well as internationally, including multiple European nations, South Korea, the United States, Australia, Chile, and Borneo.
