Our 4-year Nursing PhD program allows you to pursue a research initiative that advances nursing knowledge. This graduate-level nursing research opportunity lets you collaborate with globally recognized experts conducting groundbreaking studies that impact healthcare and social services. We especially encourage applications from healthcare and social care professionals interested in exploring relevant topics. This four-year doctoral program is ideal for candidates who: lack prior research methods training, have research experience but not in the UK, need English language support, or haven't earned a master's degree. The first year serves as a preparatory foundation for the subsequent three PhD years, featuring coursework in research methods from our MClin Res program, research proposal development with faculty advisors, and optional English language instruction for non-native speakers.

Qualification Requirements
We require: An honours degree (minimum Upper Second (2:1)) or the overseas equivalent in a relevant subject AND a very good MSc/MPhil/MRes degree from a recognised institution OR satisfactory work at postgraduate level (which must include some research training) undertaken for the equivalent of at least one year full-time. We require a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 90. For each of the components of the English test you should meet the minimum requirement of 6.0 (IELTS) or 25 (iBT). English language requirements for our distance learning programme are: IELTS 7.0, with a score of 6.5 or above in each component; TOEFL 106 internet based (with a minimum score of 20 in each component)
